This week’s ‘Amped artist’ is progressive metal band Lidless Eye. The clip to the track ‘Teller’s Demise’ from the band’s debut album ‘Dominate’ can be found below.
Although the band existed briefly without a name in the late 90s and early 00s, ‘Lidless Eye’ was officially formed in Roseburg, Oregon in August of 2009 by Matt Webber (guitar/vocals), Jay Stanturf (guitar), Brian Auer (guitar) and Tony Marin (drums). The band’s name was taken from the line in the movie Suspect Zero: “You have a circle and a lidless eye that is always open, seeing, or making sure we’re seeing.”
Since then, Lidless Eye has developed a reputation for being one of the most powerful and original bands on the local live scene. Their intense live performances have helped them to break attendance records at several venues and rapidly develop one of the largest followings in the northwest.
The release of Lidless Eye’s debut album earlier this year only helped to strengthen the band’s stance in the wider metal community and firmly placed them at the helm of the Oregpn metal scene.
Lidless Eye is currently working on a new album and continues to tour as many cities as possible.
‘Dominate’ can be purchased at email@example.com for $15, including shipping and handling.
