A book documenting the career of one of the most celebrated, yet private guitarists of all time, Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page will be released this coming October.
The book, tilted ‘Light & Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page’ was compiled by the editorial director of Guitar World, Revolver and Guitar Aficionado Brad Tolinski, who sorted through more than 50 hours of interviews with Page that had been accumulated over the past twenty years.
‘Light & Shade: Conversations with Jimmy Page’ gives readers great insight into Page’s entire career; from his early days as a session guitarist with the Who and the Kinks, to becoming a member of the Yardbirds, right through to his time on top of the world with Led Zeppelin and beyond. The book features commentary from Page, who gives his thoughts on many of Led Zeppelin’s most famous songs, his infamous dabbling in the occult, his fellow guitar legends and meeting Elvis Presley.
Former Guns ‘N Roses guitarist Slash, Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett and ZZ Top frontman Billy Gibbons have all contributed to the blurb for the book. Their comments can be read below:
