While many of us might claim that guitar has saved our lives, very few of us can say that it literally has. However, for one, very lucky to be alive Aussie, named Micko Srbinovska, not only can he say it, but he has the guitar to prove it.

Srbinovska was sleeping in his Darwin home, when he was awoken by his startled wife, alerting him to the fact that there was a 5.5-foot-long crocodile, in their lounge room. “Our dog was outside the bedroom door barking loudly,” Srbinovska’s wife, Jo Dodd, explained to the Herald Sun. “I opened the sliding door and saw the crocodile right outside the door. It is pretty full-on when there is a crocodile in your lounge room — I nearly died.”

Srbinovska put on some pants, armed himself with his trustee acoustic guitar, and walked out to confront his prehistoric intruder. “…The hissing sounded like a vampire. Then it went into its death rolls – the power of this thing was just phenomenal,” Ms Dodd said.

Luckily, Srbinovska managed to phone the Crocodile Management Unit and hold the beast at bay until they arrived.

It is believed that the croc is one of 15, suspected of escaping from the Darwin Crocodile Farm, five years ago.
