In an admirable showing of commitment, Parkway Drive guitarist Luke ‘Pig’ Kilpatrick, has continued to play on the bands current tour, despite being in a wheelchair.

Speaking with NME, backstage at Sonisphere, Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall gave an update on Kilpatrick’s broken leg; “I think he’ll be in a cast for a couple more weeks. His leg had swelled up to the size of a football, but it’s come down now. He still can’t walk on it yet. It’s made for an interesting couple of tours and it’ll be weird when he is walking around again.”

Kilpatrick’s sit-down, performances, have done nothing to take away the intensity of the bands live shows. Their ferocious Sonisphere set, was well received by fans and was described by McCall as being, “The craziest show we’ve ever played. The reaction was unbelievable, one of the best I’ve ever seen.”

The singer also commented on whether Parkway Drive plan on heading to the studio, anytime soon; “We’ve got ideas for this record that are bigger than anything we’ve done in the past. We’re trying to pencil it in, but we want to get in the studio sooner rather than later.”

Parkway Drive’s tour of North America with Bring Me The Horizon and Architects, kicks off at the end of August.
