Release Date For Joe Satriani’s ‘Satchurated’ DVD Announced

The DVD/Blu-Ray release date for Joe Satriani’s much talked about 3D concert film has been announced. ‘Satchurated: Live In Montreal’ will hit shelves on April 9.

Filmed in December of 2010 in front of a sold-out crowd in Montreal, ‘Satchurated’ showcases Satriani’s incredible ability on a six-string by delivering an audio and visual feast that gives viewers the full live experience.

‘Satchurated: Live In Montreal’ was directed by award-winning filmmakers François and Pierre Lamoure, who have previously directed and/or produced concert films and music documentaries for Rush, The Who, Harry Connick, Jr., Slipknot, Rihanna, The Pretenders, Zappa Plays Zappa, Branford Marsalis, Cowboy Junkies, Collective Soul, Ben Harper, Willie Nelson, Deep Purple, The Stray Cats and many more.

Satriani has previously commented on the film. “The 3D version is really remarkable. It’s not goofy like 3D chiller movies. There’s just this extra depth that’s incredible. I had to keep taking the glasses off to marvel at it yesterday, at how cool it looked. It’s just made the experience so much more enjoyable.”

Special preview screenings of ‘Satchurated: Live In Montreal,’ including some 3D screenings, will take place in March at select cinemas. Click here for the full list of participating theaters.
