Former Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore has announced that Blackmore‘s Night, the folk rock band he formed with his wife Candice Night in the late 90s, will be embarking on a whirlwind tour of the U.S. Dates can be found below.
The band will perform at select venues across the east coast to promote their forthcoming live DVD ‘A Knight In York,’ which is set for release October 9 via UDR/EMI. The film, which will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, CD and on double vinyl was recorded live on September 30, 2011.
Blackmore’s Night features: Blackmore (guitar, mandolin, mandola, hurdy-gurdy), Night (vocals, Renaissance woodwinds, pennywhistles, tambourine), Earl Grey of Chimay (bass, rhythm guitar), Bard David of Larchmont (keyboards, vocals), Squire Malcolm of Lumley (drums, percussion), Gypsy Rose (violin, harmony vocals) and Minstrel Albert (various medieval woodwinds).
