One of rocks greatest guitarists Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns ‘n Roses) has revealed that he will begin pre-production on his new solo album next week with drummer Brent Fitz and bassist Todd Kerns from his current touring band.
Slash shared the news with his fans via a Facebook update where the renowned guitarist also added that he is “really looking forward to it”.
In a May 2011 interview with Planet Rock, Slash revealed that his new solo album will be released next spring.
Slash has recently confirmed that Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy, who also sang two tracks on Slash’s self-titled solo debut, will be performing all vocal duties on the upcoming record,
In an interview with Nicky Horne, Slash stated, “Myles and I have been writing all throughout the tour so we’ve got a lot of material, and at this point we’re probably gonna start a little bit of pre-production in June and then do the tour in July. In September we’re going to [do more] pre-production and the album is slated to come out in March or April.”
Slash’s debut album came out last year and featured a different singer on each track, including Chris Cornell, Ozzy Osbourne, M. Shadows and several other well known singers
