Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is once again raging against corporate greed and social inequality. Today, Morello will be performing an acoustic set at the Occupy Wall Street protest, which is taking place at Liberty Plaza/Zuccotti Park in Manhattan.

Morello, who also performed at the recent Occupy Los Angeles, has the following to say, “The Nightwatchman will Occupy Wall Street tomorrow [today Oct 13] at noon, adding one more voice to the growing chorus of millions demanding economic justice at home and around the globe,” Morello told Rolling Stone. “And I’ll be playing some songs. Likely in the rain.”

Morello will be the third major act to perform at the protest; Neutral Milk Hotel’s, Jeff Mangum and rapper Talib Kweli all performed at the site, earlier in the week. Other celebrities who have shown their support for the protest include Kanye West, Danny Glover, Alec Baldwin, Yoko Ono, Russell Simmons, Michael Moore, Susan Sarandon, Mark Ruffalo, Penn Badgely, Roseanne Barr and Tim Robbins.

Hip-Hop pioneer and entrepreneur Russell Simmons handed out 500 bottles of water to thirsty protesters, calling them, “sweet kids.” Actress Susan Sarandon, said she finds the protests, “incredibly moving,” while actor Mark Ruffalo has said, “What I’m seeing emerging here is a direct form of democracy … meant to address economic inequality,” he says. “I come from a working-class family. The working class is the heart and soul of this country. And you can’t have a just society of any kind without economic equality.”
