Revered Swedish guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen has announced that he will release his new album, titled ‘Spell Bound’ on December 5th.

So far, there is little information available on the details of the album; however, it has been confirmed that Malmsteen’s bassist, Ralph Ciavolino provided the majority of the vocals for the record.

Tim ‘Ripper’ Owens (Beyond Fear, ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth), who has been Malmsteen’s vocalist since 2008, was unable to attend the ‘Spell Bound’ recording sessions in July because of previously made commitments to his official Ronnie James Dio tribute band the Dio Disciples.

In addition to the new album, Malmsteen recently launched his new website, RelentlessShred.com and is currently working on an auto-biography, which is due for release early next year.

According to Malmsteen, RelentlessShred.com provides members with access to, “exclusive, never-before-seen content” and helps them to become a, “master virtuoso.”

Malmsteen’s biography is described as being, “the only real and true story written by Malmsteen himself,”
