Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott gave All Axess an exclusive rundown of his rig during the bands recent tour with Devildriver. Check it out below.

Amott gave an extensive overview of his Line 6 wireless system, Marshall JVM head, his limited but hugely important selection of pedals as well as his Tyrant signature Dean guitar. “That’s my main guitar on this tour…this is an ebony fretboard, custom inlays, this pickup [neck position] is actually a Dean pickup, this is my signature pickup [bridge position]…we sell that separately.”

One of the most crucial components of the guitarists’ rig is his Digitech GSP1101, which he uses for all of his effects. “This is kind of like the brain of my rig…especially when we do so many flying dates with Arch Enemy and fly all around the world. I just bring this and this [backup], and I know I’ve got everything with me.”

Amott cranks his basic Marshall JVM head while traveling abroad. “This is what powers my rig…at home I have a more fancy setup with a rack…I got my two heads in there and a few more toys, but it’s weird taking it overseas.”

Amott finished up by going over his Krank cabinet, which is loaded with Celestion Vintage 30′s. “I’ve been playing them probably since I’ve been playing guitar. You know where you stand with them.”
