Derya Nagle and Joaquin Ardiles, the guitarists from this weeks ‘Amped artist’ The Safety Fire, have provided All Axess with a series of exclusive videos. In the third and final installment, Nagle and Ardiles discuss their Wirebird guitars. Check it out in the clip below.
Nagle explained that both he and Ardiles had preferred the shape of Fender Telecaster’s; however, they found that the Telecaster’s playability wasn’t fitting for metal. “We were lucky enough to meet [guitar maker and founder of Wirebird Guitars] Sam Walker, who had been doing some guitar tech work for us, and we developed a relationship with him and discussed the ideas of what we wanted in a guitar. We were able to come up these, which are the Contour series from his line.”
Ardiles added that the finished product, for them was even more comfortable than the Telecaster’s shape. “They’re a lot thinner than normal Tele’s; they’re contoured in two places, which makes it a lot easier to play live. They’re a lot lighter than normal Tele’s as well.”
The Safety Fire will perform today (August 4) at the Hevy Festival. The band is also preparing for a month-long tour with Periphery and Between The Buried And Me. See below for dates and venues.

I am new to this site and am looking for new people to chat with over different things. My husband and I are very happily married and we are entering a new chapter in our life that I especially would LOVE to have someone to talk to about it and ask questions and get advice.
